Senior Maintenance Manager
About the role
The Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team works behind the scenes to ensure Amazon's global delivery operations run smoothly. This role involves leading maintenance operations, developing maintenance leaders, and driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Maintenance Managers and Area Maintenance Managers
- Develop and maintain comprehensive preventative maintenance programs
- Manage site budgets and capital spending plans
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure rigorous adherence to safety protocols and procedures
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate external contractors
- Leverage Amazon's network size to maximize economies of scale
- Travel domestically up to 15% of the time to support network-level initiatives and provide guidance across multiple sites
Requirements
- 10+ years of managing large complex facilities organizations experience
- 7+ years of senior management and leadership responsibilities experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P)
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Master's degree or Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred
- Experience leading network level/multi-site maintenance organizations
- Professional Engineering registration preferred
- Experience maintaining material handling equipment and integrated systems preferred
- Experience working with major MHE integrators preferred
- Experience in project management preferred
- Experience with statistical analysis preferred
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: 10+ years of managing large complex facilities organizations experience, 7+ years of senior management and leadership responsibilities experience, Bachelor's degree, Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P), Full Time Exempt experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree, or Six Sigma Black Belt Certification, Experience leading network level/multi-site maintenance organizations, Professional Engineering registration, Experience maintaining material handling equipment and integrated systems, Experience working with major MHE integrators, Experience in project management, Experience with statistical analysis
Skills
Leadership, strategic planning, financial management, and leadership development skills are essential. Experience with preventative maintenance programs, budget management, and continuous improvement initiatives is required. Safety protocols and procedures must be adhered to, and the ability to manage vendor relationships and coordinate external contractors is necessary. Experience with statistical analysis and project management is preferred.

Pay
Base salary range: $145,500.00 - $196,800.00 USD annually
