Essential Functions
- Establishes and implements policies and procedures in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
- Performs an initial assessment of potential residents to determine eligibility for an assisted living apartment in accordance with established guidelines.
- Identifies any unsafe work practices or work areas within the buildings and promptly establishes corrective measures to ensure the safety of residents, staff and visitors.
- Assists with planning and maintaining an operations budget.
- Completes all necessary paperwork with residents and families for a move into an apartment.
- Collaborates with other departments to maintain a smooth transfer process within the continuum.
- Coordinates apartment rentals, check-ins, check-outs, rent collections and monthly rent adjustments.
- Maintains all pertinent records affecting the operation of the Senior Living apartments.
- Develops and maintains positive resident/tenant relations and addresses concerns as they arise.
- Attends tenant meetings (as needed) and handles necessary communication between tenants and Eventide.
- Helps plan and implement marketing strategies to maintain budgeted occupancy levels.
- Prepares and maintains a work schedule for all Senior Living apartment direct reports.
- Counsels and disciplines employees as necessary and terminates with the approval of the Executive Director and the Human Resources department.
- Maintains positive relations with other departments in an effort to conduct a smooth transfer process within the continuum.
- Builds professional relationships and serves as a representative for Eventide within the business community.
- Works with leadership to plan and implement new opportunities for seniors.
- Attends and participates in workshops, seminars, conferences, etc. to keep abreast of current changes in the senior living field.
- Willing to fill in for support staff in all areas when necessary including housekeeping, administration, life enrichment, and dietary.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required.
- Management experience related to senior housing, long-term care, or healthcare is preferred.
