Senior Care Manager

About the role

The Senior Care Manager leads a team of Care Managers and Caregivers in their client service management. They work within specific guidelines and procedures, applying advanced knowledge to solve moderately complex problems. They determine the approach, resources, schedules, and goals for the caregiver team.

Responsibilities

• Works within specific guidelines and procedures, applying advanced knowledge to solve moderately complex problems.
• Determines the approach, resources, schedules, and goals for the caregiver team.
• Participates in management meetings to provide territory-specific trends and analysis to the executive management teams.
• Serves as a subject matter expert for their area's business activities.
• Manages and trains newer Care Managers on the team to help grow their skills and experience.
• Oversees the assessment and evaluation of clients' needs and requirements to achieve and/or maintain optimal wellness state.
• Facilitates the interactions with various resources appropriate for the care and wellbeing of clients.
• Manages the recruitment, onboarding, and termination of caregivers within their scope.
• Engages in cross-departmental collaboration and participates in area meetings with other team members to ensure company objectives are being met.
• Maintains frequent contact with other care managers across the region.
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in homecare preferred.
• Previous management in their field preferred.
• A high school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Office/administrative support skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A reliable vehicle for travel within the area.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with competing priorities.
