Senior Litigation Attorney

About the role

The Litigation Attorney will provide effective legal counsel in the defense of civil disputes in South Carolina, handle diverse and challenging cases for retail and hospitality clients, and collaborate with attorneys across the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses
• Provide effective legal counsel in the defense of civil disputes in South Carolina
• Handle diverse and challenging cases for retail and hospitality clients
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis
• Develop and implement litigation strategies aligned with client goals
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Contribute to the growth of the firm and expansion of its presence throughout South Carolina
• Write reports and develop budgets

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the South Carolina Bar
• Admission to the Federal District Court of South Carolina (preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years of civil defense experience with a demonstrated track record defending civil matters
• Excellent analytical, writing, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Commitment to delivering exceptional client service
