Senior Litigation Attorney

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney with 10+ years of experience to join our growing Civil Litigation practice. The role offers substantial case ownership, sophisticated matters, trial exposure, and a potential path to long-term firm leadership and equity ownership.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a substantial docket of complex commercial litigation matters from filing through settlement or trial.
• Draft and argue substantive, procedural, evidentiary, and discovery motions; handle contested hearings and mediations.
• Take and defend depositions involving experts, corporate representatives, property owners, and fact witnesses.
• Work closely with appraisal, valuation, and other experts while preparing clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial.
• Prepare matters for trial, serve as first or second chair, negotiate with opposing counsel, manage discovery, mentor junior attorneys, and help improve firm litigation systems.

Qualifications

• Active law license in good standing.
• 10+ years of meaningful civil litigation experience; exceptionally strong litigation experience may be considered with somewhat fewer years.
• Substantial experience taking and defending depositions, including expert and corporate representative depositions.
• Significant motion practice, contested hearing, mediation, and first or second chair trial experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, organizational, communication, judgment, and case management skills with the ability to work independently.
