Mid-Level to Senior Litigation Attorney Location: Remote - U.S. Employment Type: Full-Time About The Firm Our client is a litigation boutique representing securities firms and financial/investment advisors. The firm handles sophisticated securities regulatory matters and complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts across multiple jurisdictions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator who is looking for substantive work, professional growth, and long-term career development in a fully remote environment. Position Overview The firm is seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Litigation Attorney with at least 4 years of hands-on litigation experience. Candidates should have strong writing, research, analytical, and case-management skills and be comfortable handling complex litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have experience in at least one of the following areas: Class Action Defense Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) Securities Litigation ERISA Patent / Intellectual Property Litigation Antitrust / Trade Regulation Large-Scale Commercial Litigation Complex Adversary Proceedings in Bankruptcy Candidates with strong litigation backgrounds from regulatory organizations may also be considered. Key Responsibilities Handle complex litigation matters in state and federal courts. Draft and respond to substantive motions, including motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment. Take and defend depositions. Conduct legal research and develop case strategies. Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents. Analyze complex legal and factual issues. Assist with all stages of litigation from case development through resolution. Work directly with attorneys and clients on sophisticated litigation and regulatory matters. Manage multiple matters while maintaining strong attention to detail and deadlines. Required Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. At least 4 years of experience as a practicing litigation attorney. Strong experience in one or more of the firm's targeted litigation practice areas. Excellent legal writing and analytical skills. Experience taking and/or defending depositions. Experience drafting substantive motions in state and federal court. Strong research, organizational, and case-management abilities. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote environment. Strong professional judgment and ability to manage competing priorities. Candidates We Are Not Considering The client has specifically indicated that it will not consider candidates whose primary litigation experience is in: Criminal Law Family Law Debt Collection Personal Injury Insurance Defense Claims Landlord/Tenant Litigation Employment History Requirements The firm is specifically looking for candidates with a stable employment history. Candidates should: Be currently employed. Have no more than two employers within the past five years. Not have a pattern of multiple short-term positions or frequent job changes. Have no unexplained employment gaps on their resume. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a currently employed, experienced litigator with 4+ years of stable law-firm or regulatory litigation experience, strong legal writing skills, and a demonstrated ability to handle complex litigation independently. Candidates with backgrounds in securities, commercial, class action, MDL, ERISA, IP, antitrust, or bankruptcy litigation are strongly preferred.
