About the role

The most meaningful support you can offer a student who achieves 99% is to withhold calling it 100%. Not out of indifference — but because you know they're capable of reaching it, and lowering expectations is the true disservice. If that reasoning resonates, continue reading. Students at Alpha don't passively absorb lectures. They advance through adaptive applications at double the speed of conventional classrooms while simultaneously developing practical life competencies. Your responsibility is ensuring three commitments are fulfilled for every child in your group: they develop a genuine love of learning, they progress at 2x the standard rate, and they acquire capabilities no traditional curriculum provides. You will also develop the Guides who uphold these same commitments throughout your campus. All choices are grounded in data, and all interactions are in-person. Your time is divided between your own student group and the Guides you mentor — with identical expectations for both: quantifiable advancement, without compromise. When a Guide's session underperforms, you don't draft documentation; you observe the issue, conduct a debrief, and resolve it before the day ends. You'll witness reserved children present with poise to adult audiences. You'll observe a student who once "despised school" request to remain after hours. And you'll understand that the standard you maintained is precisely what enabled their transformation, because upholding expectations demonstrates your belief in their potential.

You may be establishing a campus from the ground up, setting the foundational culture that will shape the entire school. As the campus evolves, your role transitions from operational builder to coaching leader, cultivating the team that expands Alpha's approach throughout your territory.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating one-hour interactive life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) sessions with students in grades K-8, covering topics such as public speaking and concentration, guided by Alpha's established framework
• Conducting daily motivation rituals designed to propel 100% of students toward their weekly application milestones through age-appropriate incentives including school currency and performance rankings
• Developing Guides via direct observation, precise feedback, and practical training to ensure they execute sessions with equivalent energy and rigor
• Analyzing Coachbot data and individual student records to pinpoint those requiring support, then providing direct intervention
• Directly mentoring your assigned student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational approaches you require from all Guides
• Fulfill Alpha's 3 Promises for both your student cohort and the Guides under your leadership: every child develops a love of learning, advances at 2x standard pace, and acquires authentic life skills

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum. Students progress through adaptive applications; your role is to elevate the people who support them
• Delivering traditional classroom lectures. You're primarily an engager and motivator; if standing at a whiteboard appeals to you, this role isn't appropriate
• Compromising standards due to external pressure from families or leadership. When a student achieves 99%, the response remains "not yet" — and you'll be empowered to maintain that position
• Spending time in an office managing administrative tasks. The majority of your day involves direct interaction with students and Guides
• Delaying performance interventions for scheduled reviews. Data is accessible in real time through Coachbot, and adjustments are made immediately

Requirements

• Currently residing in or willing to relocate to Beverly Hills, CA; Piedmont, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation assistance provided)
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline (Master's preferred; traditional teaching certifications are not required)
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or related area
• Demonstrated experience creating and executing educational programs, curricula, or training solutions
• Proven leadership of a team consisting of 5 or more individuals, including responsibility for hiring and performance-based termination decisions
• Background in coaching, mentoring, or delivering constructive feedback to enhance engagement and results
• Prior work with children ages 5–14 in educational or developmental contexts
• Capability in leveraging data and performance metrics to inform decisions and drive ongoing improvement
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Master's degree in Education, Psychology, or Business
• Experience as an athletic coach, camp director, or youth program coordinator where you directly inspired children to achieve specific, measurable outcomes
• History of coaching adults in positions where performance was systematically evaluated and measured
• Natural ability to captivate large groups of children. The presence that commands attention from a room full of 8-year-olds
