About the role

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating one-hour in-person life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) sessions with K-8 students covering topics such as public speaking and focus, adhering to Alpha's established framework
  • Conducting daily motivation sessions designed to ensure 100% of students reach their weekly app-based learning targets using age-appropriate motivators including school currency and leaderboards
  • Developing Guides through direct observation, precise feedback, and practical training to ensure they execute sessions with equivalent energy and rigor
  • Analyzing Coachbot data and student records to determine which individuals require direct support, then providing that intervention yourself
  • Personally mentoring your assigned student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational techniques you require from all Guides

Requirements

  • Currently residing in or prepared to relocate to Beverly Hills, CA; Piedmont, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation assistance available)
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline (Master's degree preferred; conventional teaching certifications not required)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or comparable field
  • Demonstrated experience creating and executing educational programs, curricula, or training systems
  • Proven leadership of teams comprising 5 or more individuals, including responsibility for recruitment and performance-based dismissal decisions
  • Experience providing coaching, mentorship, or actionable feedback to enhance engagement and outcomes
  • Background working with children ages 5–14 in educational or developmental contexts
  • Capability in leveraging data and performance metrics to inform decisions and drive ongoing improvement

Qualifications

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Skills

  • Commanding presence when presenting to large groups of children

Pay

$100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
