What You Will Be Doing

  • Coaching Guides to consistently provide outstanding student experiences while upholding Alpha's rigorous standards.
  • Facilitating dynamic life skills workshops that cultivate communication, leadership, focus, and other practical competencies for K-12 students.
  • Inspiring students to pursue ambitious learning objectives and maximize their progress within self-directed academic programs.
  • Leveraging data, observation, and targeted coaching discussions to enhance Guide effectiveness and student results.
  • Supporting the launch and establishment of new Alpha campuses by creating a culture rooted in excellence, accountability, and relentless improvement.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Delivering traditional academic instruction or subject-specific lectures.
  • Developing lesson plans or creating curriculum materials.
  • Compromising standards to provide students with superficial success rather than facilitating genuine mastery.
  • Leading a team remotely from an office without direct, hands-on coaching of students and Guides.
  • Maintaining outdated methods simply because they represent established practice.

Senior Learning Experience Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Guarantee that every student consistently receives Alpha's three promises through developing high-performing Guides, facilitating compelling life skills experiences, and upholding rigorous standards for student achievement.

Basic Requirements

  • Willingness to work on-site at an Alpha campus (relocation support available): Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Miami Beach, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Orange County, CA; Santa Barbara, CABachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or a related leadership role.
  • Experience leading and developing teams of five or more people.
  • Demonstrated success using data to drive performance improvements.
  • Experience working with children ages 5-14 in an educational, coaching, or developmental setting.
  • Experience building or launching a new team, program, business, school, or initiative.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Experience coaching youth through athletics, debate, camps, or extracurricular programs.
  • Exceptional public speaking and storytelling skills.
  • A track record of achieving high levels of academic, professional, or athletic performance.
  • Experience motivating teams through ambitious goals while maintaining high accountability.
  • A passion for challenging conventional education and helping shape a new model for K-12 learning.

Working with us

  • This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position.
  • The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
  • The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year.
  • The payment period is weekly.
