About the role
This position is responsible for providing personal care, delegated nursing and medical care, housekeeping, meal preparation, and activities designed to maintain the resident's physical and emotional well-being. As well as being on an on-call rotation, which may require you to physically come into the site when needed.
Responsibilities
- Act as the trainer, mentor to the new staff assisting with onboarding.
- Maintaining the training schedule, discussing with the nurse/ALC any challenges the new team member is having and working as a team to resolve any issues.
- Affirming the resident with their ADLs which include but are not limited to bathing, eating, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and continence.
- Applying braces as needed per care plan.
- Repositioning clients as needed.
- Observing clients for changes in medical condition and reporting changes to the Nurse.
- Affirming fall prevention.
- Affirming behavior management.
- Doing laundry as needed.
- Performing any needed housekeeping activity.
- Preparing and serving meals to the residents.
- Planning and hosting activities for the residents.
- Administering medications as directed in care plan.
- Documenting and reporting any changes in health or behaviors of the residents.
- Monitoring wandering residents.
- Maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Providing end-of-life care.
- Keeping up to date on emergency procedures and assisting in emergency situations.
- Attending in-service/training sessions and following RN instructions (written or verbal).
Requirements
- Must be able to be on an on-call rotation.
- Must be able to work alternating weekends.
- Must be willing to continually learn and apply new techniques for programming for lower functioning residents with memory loss.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work under the direction of the RN Director and other supervisory staff.
- Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Must possess a desire to work with the frail, elderly and those with multiple medical issues.
- Must demonstrate teamwork abilities.
- Must possess good listening, verbal and written communication skills.
- May be required to work days, afternoons, nights, weekends and/or holidays.
Qualifications
- No experience needed: While previous caregiving experience is a bonus, we provide comprehensive training for all new team members.

Schedule & Compensation
- Shifts: Flexible shifts, including 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM, 2:30 PM- 10:30PM and 10:30 PM- 6:30AM with rotating weekends.
- Wages: Up to $18/hour based on experience, includes lead pay.
