About the role

The energy industry is rapidly evolving, driving Jacobs to expand its Energy & Power Solutions team. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team in delivering advisory services and engineering design solutions for clients across various sectors. Key responsibilities include mentoring junior and mid-level engineers, collaborating with clients, and managing projects from concept to execution.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and manage junior and mid-level electrical engineering staff members
  • Work closely with clients to deliver exceptional services in the energy sector
  • Engage in business growth strategy, including exploration and development of new project opportunities
  • Develop concept-level plans and solutions, then take them through detailed design
  • Collaborate with Client Account Managers and sales professionals on strategic pursuits
  • Anticipate challenges and manage large teams responsible for project details

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or related engineering discipline
  • At least 10 years of engineering design and/or consulting experience
  • Professional Engineering licensure (any US state)
  • Proven ability to engage with clients, develop relationships, and win work
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in business growth strategy, including proposal development and project execution planning
  • Experience with power distribution systems and microgrids, power generation projects, renewable energy projects, energy storage systems, power system modeling, protection and control, SCADA, and power system automation
  • Passion for mentoring and development of junior technical staff

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Availability to travel as required to support project needs
  • Availability to work at least 2 days per week in the Gainesville, FL office when not traveling

Pay

$111,400.00 to $194,900.00

Schedule

Hybrid working policy allowing split work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations
