Senior Laboratory Assistant, Bioanalysis

About the role

The LabOps team manages and optimizes all aspects of the Lab Environment. This includes ensuring labs are equipped, maintained, and run efficiently in areas such as Lab Management, Process Optimization, Compliance and Safety, Resource Allocation & Coordination, and Communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily routine tasks, including monitoring and re-stocking inventory in labs and storage areas, and recording in electronic lab notebooks.
• Works cross-functionally with others in the department to enhance processes and improve efficiency.
• Adapts to new activities and supports the team through growth and expansion.
• Anticipates potential problems, presents them to supervisors, and identifies operational improvements.
• Provides guidance and assistance to others on non-routine or escalated issues.
• Communicates effectively with all functions within the organization, demonstrating strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and 2-4 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A 2-year college degree may be preferred.
• Experience in inventory management is a plus.

Qualifications

• Good organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• A service-oriented mindset and a desire to provide quality customer service.
• Active pursuit of skill enhancement and knowledge enrichment.
• Strong operational skills to drive and execute core responsibilities with limited supervision.

Pay

Salary Range (hourly): $30.24 - $47.36

Schedule

Typically, this role may require a modified working schedule to include weekend days for general support to the group.
