About the role
The Senior Laboratory Assistant position at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA is per-diem and works 8-hour, Day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Collections and processing of blood specimens
- Assessment and care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric in-patients, emergency room patients, and patients from other hospital services as needed
- Outpatient specimen collection and processing
- Inoculation of microbiology specimens onto primary media
- Processing specimens for referral testing
Requirements
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License upon hire
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License upon hire
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year Laboratory phlebotomy experience
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I or II license

- Proficient in required competencies

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The base pay range is $24.82 - $37.98.
