Senior Laboratory Assistant
About the role
The Senior Laboratory Assistant position is per-diem and works 8-hour, Day shifts at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. The hospital has received Magnet designation multiple times and is recognized as one of the best regional hospitals in various specialties.
Responsibilities
- Collections and processing of blood specimens
- Assessment and care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric in-patients, emergency room patients, and patients from other hospital services as needed
- Outpatient specimen collection and processing assistance
- Inoculation of microbiology specimens onto primary media
- Processing specimens for referral testing
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License upon hire
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License upon hire
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year Laboratory phlebotomy experience

Proficient in required competencies.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The base pay range is $24.82 - $37.98.
Schedule
This position works on a Per-Diem schedule with 8-hour Day shifts.
