Senior Java Lead

About The Role

As a Senior Java Lead, you will make an impact by building and supporting scalable, cloud-native enterprise applications. You will collaborate with architects, product owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality backend solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Build and support event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Optimize database performance using Hibernate/JPA and advanced SQL.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Deploy and support applications on Azure, AWS, or GCP using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve productivity and code quality.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of IT experience with strong hands-on expertise in Java (11/17/21), Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Experience designing and building large-scale, high-performance distributed applications.
• Strong experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Expertise in Hibernate/JPA, data modeling, advanced SQL, and database tuning.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Experience Using GitHub Copilot Or Other AI-assisted Development Tools.
• Experience working in cloud-native and containerized enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of application performance monitoring and observability tools.

Schedule

This is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Bentonville, AR. The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting. This may change based on the project you’re engaged in, as well as business and client requirements.
