About the role
This position is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of accounts and is responsible for building strong client relationships, developing account management strategies, coordinating with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet client's needs, and identifying opportunities to grow accounts.
Essential Job Functions
- Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
- Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas.
- Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
- Prepare reports on account status.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities within the territory.
- Aid in challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Associate degree or two (2) years’ work experience in a specific area/field.
- Two (2) years of experience managing large account portfolios.
- Knowledge of automation tools, such as Esker, Innowera, and SAP mass tools preferred.
- Experience in the aerospace, military, and defense industry, or cable assembly business preferred.
Supervisor Responsibilities
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to be stationary for prolonged periods working on a computer.
- The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds.
