Job Summary
The Senior Indirect Procurement Professional will lead the 3PL, Warehousing & Logistics category by partnering with stakeholders to set sourcing priorities, manage supplier strategies, and drive measurable value through competitive sourcing, strong commercial terms, and ongoing performance and risk management.
Job Responsibilities
- Category Management & Leadership
- Leverage industry trends, market insights, and spend analytics to develop and execute category plans and global sourcing strategies
- Align procurement goals with business objectives and operational needs
- Cost & Performance Management
- Ensure cost-effective buying channels & strategies are in place for assigned spend categories
- Develop and monitor KPIs and report on savings, efficiencies, and supplier performance
- Manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial metrics for assigned categories
- Risk Management
- Mitigate supply chain risks by developing contingency plans
- Ensure compliance with plant safety, quality, and applicable regulatory standards
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and applicable trade regulations
- Sourcing & Contracting
- Lead sourcing events (RFI, RFP, RFQ), including bid evaluation, supplier selection, and award recommendations
- Negotiate complex contracts and statements of work (SOW) in collaboration with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to company policies
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with service providers
- Lead business reviews with key suppliers to assess performance, service levels, and align future goals, initiatives, and continuous improvement opportunities
- Communication & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build & maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to proactively identify needs, resolve issues, and improve service levels
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings to align supplier capabilities with business needs and strategic goals
- Serve as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders (e.g., Supply Chain, Finance, Legal) and the supply base
- Process Improvement
- Ownership and implementation of best practices for indirect procurement processes
- Benchmark supplier performance against industry standards and drive improvement initiatives
- Identify opportunities to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance service through supplier collaboration
Education Requirements
- A bachelor's degree is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field
- MBA or advanced degree is preferred
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Sourcing experience with 3PL, Warehousing, and Logistics service providers
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring alignment with service level agreements and cost targets
- Track record of identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities
- Exposure to a global supply base

- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on cost reduction and efficiency
- Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

Pay Range
$83,400 - $129,400
