About the Location

Our Bagdad operations in Arizona provide housing at a subsidized rate, a family-friendly atmosphere, and numerous amenities including an aquatic center, golf course, and fitness center. Located 100 miles northwest of Phoenix, Bagdad is home to the world's first commercial-scale concentrate leach processing facility and one of the longest continuously operating solvent extraction/electrowinning plants in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Company’s sole representative during legal and binding arbitration, appeals board, and open-door processes to settle disputes with employees.
  • Lead employment and compliance-based investigations.
  • Collaborate with site HR and Operations leadership to provide advice on HR and labor regulatory issues; mentor or supervise other HR team members.
  • Support effective performance management, ensuring alignment with policies and procedures, and coach on developing pipeline and succession plans.
  • Implement HR projects and improvements, facilitating change management, engagement, coaching, and advising stakeholders.
  • Protect and maintain the privacy of employee personnel records, including compensation information.
  • Implement HR goals, processes, practices, and systems to build organizational and individual capability (e.g., staffing, performance management, training & development, employee relations).
  • Guide leaders and employees regarding Company policies, values, and HR programs while monitoring compliance with Federal, State, and local laws.
  • Analyze HR metrics (e.g., turnover, time system data, overtime reports) to determine appropriate action, including supporting workforce planning and forecasting.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years of related industrial or manufacturing employee relations experience, with a minimum of three (3) years of Generalist experience.
  • Or Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of Professional Human Resources experience, with a minimum of two (2) years of Generalist experience.
  • Or Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of related industrial or manufacturing employee relations experience, with a minimum of three (3) years of Generalist experience.
  • Or Master’s degree and three (3) years of Professional Human Resources experience, with a minimum of two (2) years of Generalist experience.
  • Or Master’s degree and four (4) years of related industrial or manufacturing employee relations experience, with a minimum of three (3) years of Generalist experience.

Skills

  • Understanding of business operations from both strategic and tactical perspectives.
  • Experience with core aspects of Human Resources Management (staffing, employee relations, labor relations, performance management, leadership development, training, etc.).
  • Experience working within a dispute resolution process and independently leading investigations.
  • Experience addressing complex employee relations issues autonomously and handling routine and complex scenarios using various resources.
  • Experience leading projects to completion.
  • Ability to resolve workplace conflicts and make tough decisions with professionalism, poise, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to coach and influence leadership at all organizational levels.
  • Consultative and collaborative style with proven ability to develop credible relationships with business partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective at all organizational levels.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced and ambiguous business conditions.
  • High level of integrity and absolute confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including a positive disposition, accountability, adaptability, confidence, and the ability to motivate and develop others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related discipline.
  • PHR/SPHR Certification.
  • Mining or industrial setting experience.
  • Experience leading a dispute resolution process (e.g., arbitrations).

Pay

The estimated annual pay range for this role is $87,500–$120,000 (base salary only). This range reflects qualifications, experience, and skills. Additional discretionary and incentive payments may apply based on company and individual performance.

Schedule

Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.
