About the role

The City and County of San Francisco seeks multiple Senior Human Resources Analysts to support departments in hiring, supporting, and retaining a highly qualified workforce. Ideal candidates are passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, possess good judgment, sensitivity, and creativity, and enjoy analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Help recruit and evaluate candidates for various City positions.
  • Conduct field or desk audits of City staff work to recommend changes to class specifications.
  • Negotiate resolutions to grievances and investigate complaints of serious misconduct.
  • Create, manage, and update the City’s employee benefits program.
  • Process new hires, facilitate employee transfers, and administer fair and consistent employee discipline.
  • Develop employee resources and training, lead diversity recruitment efforts, coach management, and monitor DEI benchmarks.
  • Facilitate training and workshops to promote teamwork and strong leadership skills.

Requirements

  • Education: Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: Three (3) years of professional human resources experience, preferably in recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employee and/or labor relations, benefits administration, human resources operations, diversity, equity, and inclusion, or personnel training.
  • Substitutions: Up to two years of required professional experience may be substituted for additional qualifying work experience. A 12-month human resources trainee program may substitute for one year of required professional experience. A Juris Doctorate or Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of required professional experience.

  • Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures.

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
