About the role
The Full Charge Bookkeeper will enjoy owning the day-to-day accounting process while supporting a mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Review and reconcile bank statements
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Manage payroll and tax filings
- Prepare financial reports and statements
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA certification preferred
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience with non-profit accounting and compliance
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Understanding of non-profit financial management
