Senior HR Generalist

About the role

The Senior HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting the growth and profitability of Flex's Walker, MI team. Reporting to the Site HR Business Partner, this individual will be responsible for executing HR programs and providing strategic support on all people-related matters.

Responsibilities

• Support Employee Support and Customer Service by conducting new hire surveys, staying interviews, and exit interviews to gather feedback and identify opportunities to improve retention and engagement.
• Provide first-level HR support and coaching to supervisors on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, and performance concerns.
• Assist with recruiting efforts for technical and professional roles within an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Aid in coordinating training and employee development programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in education and experience in a Human Resource related function.
• Minimum of 3 years of HR experience required.
• HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) or a willingness to obtain certification is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Approachable, action-oriented, and adaptable personality.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to independently plan, manage, and execute projects while balancing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality, accurate work.
• Experience with Workday is a plus.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Schedule

The Senior HR Generalist will be based in Walker, MI with periodic travel to the Coopersville site (approximately 15 minutes away).
