Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless and professional employee experience.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and day-to-day HR support.
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records and documentation.
- Support managers with routine people-related matters, escalating more complex issues as appropriate.
- Act as an accessible resource for employees, providing guidance on workplace concerns and policies.
- Partner with managers to address employee relations matters, offering balanced, practical recommendations.
- Aid in documentation, issue resolution, and follow-up in alignment with company practices.
- Support benefit administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee education.
- Navigate and support a mixed workforce model (W-2 employees and 1099 contractors).
- Partner with HR leadership to support compensation and rewards processes with attention to market alignment and internal consistency.
- Maintain and administer HRIS systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Generate and analyze reports to support HR operations, compliance, and workforce insights.
- Support system updates, audits, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Support data validation and issue resolution related to payroll inputs.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment across HR, payroll, and finance processes.
- Support HR compliance activities, including required filings and documentation.
- Aid in ACA tracking and other regulatory processes as applicable.
- Maintain awareness of federal, state, and local employment regulations, escalating risks as needed.
- Help ensure HR practices are applied consistently and appropriately across the workforce.
- Support HR team members, covering absences and contributing to projects, audits, and process improvements.
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of HR processes and employment regulations (including ACA, FMLA, etc.).
- Ability to operate effectively in both tactical and complex HR scenarios.
- Experience supporting compensation, benefits, and employee relations activities.
- Strong judgment and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.) a plus.
- Experience 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or similar role.
- Experience supporting compensation and total rewards administration.
- Experience working in mixed workforce environments (W-2 and 1099).
- Employee relations support experience preferred.
