Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters, conflict resolution, and employee relations issues.
- Partner in the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and managing the hiring process to attract and retain top talent.
- Welcoming new hires in the office.
- Support in bi-weekly full-cycle payroll process.
- Identify training needs, help develop training programs, and facilitate learning opportunities to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
- Aid in the understanding and communication of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive and equitable pay structures, and administering employee benefits packages effectively.
- Stay up to date with employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and implementing appropriate policies and procedures. Maintain organizational records and files.
- Continue to build the overall Newsmax culture which is fast paced, energetic, and ever changing.
- Analyze HR metrics to track key performance indicators, identify trends, and help make data-driven decisions to improve HR processes and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field preferred: Master's degree a plus.
- 4+ years of progressive HR experience.
- Experience with UltiPro/UKG preferred, knowledge of HRIS.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using HR technology to enhance employee experience.
- Experience working in the media industry is a plus.
- Positive, optimistic, and solutions-orientated attitude.
- Needs to be onsite 5 days per week.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
