Senior HR Generalist
Position Summary
The Senior HR Generalist will have an emphasis on Associate Relations and will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and Associates by providing guidance on associate relations matters, workplace investigations, performance management, policy interpretation, and employment practices. This role helps maintain a positive, compliant, and high-performing work environment while supporting key HR operational functions, including recruiting, payroll review, leave administration, and HR compliance. The position works closely with leaders across the organization, with a particular focus on complex associate relations matters, coaching conversations, and corrective action processes.
Essential Functions
- Partnership & Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and Associates by providing responsive, practical, and solutions-oriented Human Resources guidance and issue resolution. Partner with and coach leaders on associate relations matters, change management, workplace concerns, performance management, conflict resolution, communication, accountability, and employment practices. Partner with leaders to develop and maintain position descriptions that accurately reflect business needs, essential functions, qualifications, responsibilities, reporting relationships, and position design. Provide consultation, guidance, and constructive challenge to leaders to promote consistent, values-based decisions that support a positive Associate experience, mitigate organizational risk, and advance Landmark's strategic objectives.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and Bank policies. Conduct workplace investigations, evaluate evidence, document findings, and recommend appropriate actions based on facts, policy, risk, and established practices. Review corrective actions, performance improvement plans, and employment decisions for consistency, fairness, documentation quality, and potential risk. Assist with leave administration, workplace accommodations, and other employment-related processes to support compliance requirements. Handle sensitive Associate, leadership, compensation, payroll, medical, and business information with discretion, sound judgment, and appropriate safeguards while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy and recordkeeping requirements.
- Internal Partner Support & Service: Support recruiting activities, including candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer preparation. Support payroll review activities by validating transactions, changes, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Data, Reporting & Analytics: Maintain accurate Human Resources records, documentation, and case management files. Analyze workforce, recruiting, turnover, leave, corrective action, and associate relations data to identify trends and inform decision-making. Prepare reports, dashboards, and summaries to support Human Resources initiatives and leadership decision-making.
- Quality Assurance & Control Testing: Maintain and review Human Resources records, case management files, corrective actions, investigation files, payroll changes, and personnel documentation for completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Evaluate and align documentation and employment actions for consistency with Bank policies, position descriptions, performance expectations, established procedures, and Landmark's cultural values.
- Operational Excellence: Manage competing priorities with strong execution, attention to detail, follow-through, accountability, and timely service. Identify and implement process improvements that strengthen the Associate experience, operational efficiency, documentation quality, compliance, consistency, and Human Resources service delivery. Maintain reliable and predictable onsite attendance to meet business needs and provide responsive support to leaders and Associates.

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. However, the role is expected to influence leaders and business partners through coaching, consultation, training, and recommendations related to associate relations, performance management, employment practices, compliance, and Human Resources policies and procedures.
