About the role

The Senior HR Data & Reporting Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting Veolia's HR analytics and reporting needs. They gather, structure, and analyze data from multiple sources, designing and maintaining HR data models that align with data governance policies and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, structure, and analyze data from multiple sources, presenting key findings in a secure, usable format to senior leadership.
  • Build and manage complex reports and dashboards for data research, troubleshooting, and data audits.
  • Lead and collaborate with technical staff, providing feedback and user/technical specifications for report and dashboard design.
  • Identify data gaps, perform analysis, and recommend solutions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Research and troubleshoot complex data issues to ensure data quality.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand and enhance analytics capabilities, improve processes, and explore new tools.
  • Mentor new/junior team members.
  • Collaborate with various business partners on project requests, prioritization, and delivery.
  • Monitor key metrics to identify when further analysis is required.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure data models accurately represent business processes and data requirements.
  • Evaluate existing data structures and recommend improvements for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Maintain compliance with data governance policies and guidelines.
  • Use business applications (PeopleSoft, Workforce Software) and statistical/analytical tools to develop interactive presentations and data visualizations with advanced and complex data sets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, analysis, HR preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in analysis, business analyst, research experience or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data interpretation, logical thinking, and timely, practical decision-making.
  • Advanced skill in data modeling and report/dashboard development using PowerBI, Excel, and/or HRIS based tools.
  • Strong knowledge in Excel; Google applications a plus (eMail, Docs, Sheets, Charts).

Qualifications

  • General knowledge of Human Resource and Payroll practices.
  • Ability to exercise sound discretion and maintain strict confidentiality regarding PII and reporting.
  • Workday report writing experience required; PRISM analytics preferred.
  • Self-motivated, able to balance day-to-day tasks and embrace fast-paced organizational change.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to adapt and adjust to change, quick learner with technology aptitude, and excellent customer service attitude.

Skills

  • Advanced skill in data modeling and report/dashboard development using PowerBI, Excel, and/or HRIS based tools.
  • Strong knowledge in Excel; Google applications a plus (eMail, Docs, Sheets, Charts).
