Job Summary

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, seeks a Senior Associate in the Litigation Practice of our Los Angeles office. The position offers competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.

About the Role

The Litigation Associate will work with clients from various industries across the country and sometimes internationally, handling financial services and trusts and estates litigation with strong appellate experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients from various industries across the country and sometimes internationally
  • Handle financial services and trusts and estates litigation
  • Conduct research, manage traditional and electronic discovery, assist with and/or take and defend depositions, and appear before state and federal courts
  • Write and draft pleadings and briefs
  • Manage case files and conduct legal research
  • Assist in client meetings and negotiations

Requirements

  • At least six years of relevant experience
  • A strong background in financial services and trusts and estates litigation
  • Strong appellate experience a plus
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Experience in a mid to large law firm
  • Experience drafting pleadings and briefs
  • Experience conducting research
  • Experience managing traditional and electronic discovery
  • Experience assisting with and/or taking and defending depositions
  • Experience appearing before state and federal courts
  • In good standing with the CA Bar
  • Federal clerkship a plus

Qualifications

  • Law school Law Review experience strongly preferred

Pay

The expected pay range for this position is $340,000 to $410,000 per year. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Schedule

Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
