Senior Financial Aid Planner

You will make an impact by:

  • Serving as VA Certifying Official for campus, including monitoring eligibility status for students receiving military education benefits, timely update of enrollment and eligibility details in VA Once software, and responding to student questions or requests for information.
  • Assists with training/mentoring of new Financial Aid Planners through appointment observations, mentoring, and shadowing activities.
  • Reviews pending private loan disbursements and batches, adjusts, or schedules refunds as appropriate, and documents actions in CampusVue and ELM.
  • Assists Financial Aid Director with general operations and management activities such as monitoring office appointment calendar, delegating activities, managing student traffic and generation/compilation of reports or data as requested by the Financial Aid Director.

Your Experience Includes:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Financial Aid Planner at American Career College.
  • Ability to demonstrate the highest levels of integrity and professional ethics in all aspects of the job function.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills through active listening, and delivery of information in a clear and effective manner.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Financial Aid Planner at American Career College is preferred.

Education:

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited College or University required.
