About the role

AIR Communities is seeking a Senior Manager, Enterprise Reporting – FP&A to join our Finance team in Chicago, IL or Denver, CO. This role supports the development and oversight of financial reporting and enterprise financial results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee strategies that support enterprise decision-making by clearly telling the story of financial and operational performance - past, present, and forward-looking.
  • Enable strategic decision-making at both the community and portfolio levels through close partnership with Operation Teams, Asset Management, and other cross-functional leaders.
  • Build, manage, and mentor high-performing FP&A teams, driving scalability and efficiency in financial processes.
  • Drive large-scale, cross-functional initiatives such as automation, offshoring, and operating model redesign to support long-term growth.
  • Translate enterprise and Finance strategy into clear, actionable plans aligned with organizational priorities and long-term objectives.
  • Oversee enterprise-level reporting and analytics, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment for executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to strengthening the firm’s enterprise reporting foundation, including scalable reporting processes and data-driven decision frameworks.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience, with strong preference for multifamily finance, asset management, or operations.
  • Proven track record building, managing, and mentoring high-performing FP&A teams.
  • Deep understanding of real estate fundamentals, portfolio performance, and capital markets.
  • Experience supporting complex finance functions or business segments with the ability to influence decisions at the executive level.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate data-driven multifamily performance to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical expertise with mastery of Excel and PowerPoint, supported by strong accounting and finance fundamentals.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and drive results with minimal direction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, Math, or related field.
  • CFA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
