Senior Field Engineer (Pre-Sales/Forward Deployed)
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Field Engineer (Pre-Sales/Forward Deployed) to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will partner closely with sales and product stakeholders to advance complex AI opportunities from early discovery through executive-level alignment. The ideal candidate will translate technical and business requirements into compelling solution designs, demonstrations, and implementation approaches that build confidence with customers. This is a high-impact, customer-facing position that blends technical depth, consultative pre-sales expertise, and field feedback to help shape both deals and product direction.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to prioritize key strategic opportunities
- Lead the design and implementation of complex industrial AI agents
- Conduct use case workshops and translate requirements into high-level use cases
- Deliver compelling demos and build executive confidence in AI solutions
- Translate field feedback into actionable product insights and best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years in engineering or pre-sales roles, ideally in SaaS or industrial software
- Solid foundation in Computer Science or a related field
- Proficiency in Python and understanding of GenAI concepts such as embeddings and prompt chaining
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50% for client engagements

Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually
