Senior Field Engineer (Pre-Sales)

Cognite is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on developing and deploying advanced machine learning models to solve complex industrial problems.

About the role

The AI Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts to deliver high-quality AI solutions that drive business value.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement machine learning models using Python and TensorFlow
• Collaborate with data scientists to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Develop and maintain scalable AI systems using cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud
• Perform model validation and optimization to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Document code and processes for future reference and training new team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years of professional experience in machine learning and/or AI development
• Strong proficiency in Python and TensorFlow
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment

Qualifications

• Experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or Keras
• Knowledge of statistical methods and algorithms for machine learning
• Understanding of data preprocessing techniques and feature engineering
• Experience with database management systems like PostgreSQL or MySQL

Pay

Salary range: $100,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience
