Senior Emergency Response Technician
About the Role
The Emergency Response Team (ERT) supports the site’s emergency preparedness, response, and safety programs. This position is responsible for maintaining emergency response readiness through routine equipment inspections, training, drills, hazard awareness, and participation in medical and hazmat emergency response activities. As an ERT member, you will apply critical thinking, sound judgment, and effective communication while working as part of a team to support safe and effective emergency response operations. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, teamwork, and continuous improvement to the site’s emergency response capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency situations and work effectively in a team environment.
- Conduct routine inspections of emergency response equipment.
- Participate in ERT training, drills, and exercises.
- Apply critical thinking to assess hazards.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
Schedule
A Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45am – 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous emergency response, fire service, EMS, military, industrial safety, or hazardous materials experience.
- HAZWOPER certification a plus.
Skills
- Effective written/verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Pay
The current base salary range for this role is between $31.00 - $46.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications, and experience.
