Senior EMS Service Technician

Senior Service Technician - BAS/HVAC Controls Work Type: Full-Time, Onsite About The Role We are seeking a Senior Service Technician with strong hands-on experience in BAS/HVAC controls. The role will troubleshoot, program, maintain, and commission building automation systems while providing customer service and supporting BAS project startups. Main Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair BAS/EMS, HVAC, and refrigeration controls.Program, configure, and commission controllers, sensors, actuators, and control systems.Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and system optimization.Troubleshoot BACnet MS/TP, BACnet IP, LON, and Modbus networks.Configure and troubleshoot Niagara Supervisors, Stations, and Platforms.Perform Niagara integrations, migrations, and graphics.Handle service calls independently and provide customer technical support.Support BAS project startups, warranty work, and small service projects.Mentor technicians and coordinate with contractors, manufacturers, and clients.Complete service documentation and participate in after-hours/on-call rotation. Main Requirements 5-8 years of HVAC Controls / BAS experience.Strong hands-on experience with Niagara, Johnson Controls, and KMC.Advanced knowledge of BACnet, LON, and Modbus.Strong understanding of HVAC systems and controls components.Experience with BAS networking, troubleshooting, programming, and commissioning.Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex controls issues.Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills.Willingness to work overtime and participate in after-hours on-call rotation. Key screening requirement: Candidates must have advanced hands-on BAS/HVAC controls experience, particularly with Niagara, Johnson Controls/KMC, BACnet, programming, and complex troubleshooting.
