About the role
Be involved in projects with our Property & Buildings Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical assistance and guidance for the design, development, and construction of building electrical systems across commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.
- Lead or support electrical engineering design for power distribution, lighting, grounding, life safety, and low-voltage systems.
- Perform and review electrical calculations (load, equipment sizing, voltage drop, grounding, and system analysis).
- Develop construction documents, specifications, and reports aligned with project and regulatory requirements.

- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, structural, architectural, and external stakeholders.
- Support and mentor junior engineers and designers; provide QA/QC oversight on project deliverables.
- Aid in project management responsibilities including scope, schedule, and budget tracking for assigned workstreams.
- Ensure deliverables meet WSP quality standards and applicable codes, safety, and functionality requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 5–7 years of relevant post-education experience in electrical design for building systems.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required.
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, ICC, IECC).
- Demonstrated ability to lead design tasks and coordinate within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication, technical writing, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with healthcare, commercial, higher education, or science & technology projects.
- Project management experience on small to mid-size projects.
- Experience with sustainable design and energy-efficient building systems.

Pay
Expected Salary: $100,800- $147,000
