Senior Director, Core Product & Delivery
About the role
Verizon is undergoing a strategic transformation, building a world-class product and revenue organization committed to driving sustainable business growth and long-term customer value. The CXO Core Product & Delivery (CPD) function serves as the primary product execution engine within the digital ecosystem, taking accountability for the vision, performance, and usability of customer-facing digital experiences. Operating as the commercial distribution layer that converts strategic business intent into high-performing customer reality, this function manages fast-moving digital product roadmaps, including scope assessment, upfront requirement formalization, user story creation & test acceptance, post-launch optimization, defect management, and platform scaling.
In equal partnership and with shared accountability alongside Strategy, Experience Assurance (XA), Design, and PRO, the Senior Director leads a team that formulates the tactical execution roadmaps for web and mobile channels, focusing on maximizing transaction velocity and conversion health. The team is structured to eliminate functional fragmentation across direct digital tracks, establishing the programmatic guardrails that ensure daily market operations execute seamlessly while safeguarding the overall business viability of the build.
We are seeking a commercially sharp, execution-tested product executive to lead this function. You will direct a high-velocity product management organization structured into cross-functional aligned PODs, optimizing workforce capacity against strategic corporate demands, managing continuous product life cycles, and ensuring all shipped digital capabilities drive absolute line-of-sight revenue and customer value realization.
Responsibilities
- Steer Product Vision & Domain Performance: Own the multi-year vision, comprehensive roadmap, and P&L optimization for core digital product lines; maintain absolute accountability for overarching domain KPIs, system reliability, and long-term customer value realization.
- Lead Day-Zero Cross-Functional Collaboration: Champion up-front alignment and horizontal integration across Strategy, Design, and Experience Assurance (XA) leadership to proactively eliminate functional fragmentation before development begins.
- Elevate Business-to-Technical Translation: Define enterprise standards for translating broad business goals into detailed user stories. Interlock seamlessly with Experience Assurance (XA) to ingest their finalized upstream journey foundations and user-intent frameworks, converting them into functional requirements, clear application logic, and cross-channel system dependency mappings ready for GTS engineering execution. Ensure crystal-clear differentiation between net-new builds and legacy architecture evolution.
- Govern Modular Architecture & Strategy: Partner closely with Technology Services and technical execution teams to direct reusable solution design, establish modular product architectures, and drive high-stakes build-vs-buy engineering evaluations.
- Own Capital & Multi-Horizon Backlog Management: Optimize resource capacity and manage the tactical execution backlog across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons, proactively balancing cross-POD delivery velocity within the funding targets and capital investment frameworks established by the Strategy organization.
- Drive Matrixed Leadership & Workforce Scalability: Direct and mentor a lean, matrixed organization of product delivery professionals; systematically identify competency gaps and design targeted upskilling tracks to optimize cross-POD resource matching.
- Champion Domain and Ecosystem Expertise: Cultivate an advanced culture of domain expertise, ensuring teams maintain deep literacy in the current state of their digital ecosystem, state-of-the-art platforms, and emerging customer behaviors.

- Significant experience in digital product, user experience design, or consumer channels within a high-volume, subscription-based customer-facing organization is preferred.
- Demonstrated mastery of the product development lifecycle (PDLC), agile full-stack pod mechanics, and matrixed team management.
- Deep functional expertise in detailed user story creation, technical requirement writing, and cross-channel system dependency mapping.
- Strong technical literacy in cloud-native digital systems, reusable microservices, and tracking infrastructure.
- Commanding executive presence with a proven track record of using data-driven metrics to influence senior stakeholders and align distributed business units.
- Exhibits strict operational discipline, robust commercial viability assessment capabilities, and an analytical data-driven approach to product backlog refinement, feature optimization, and defect remediation.
