Senior Director, Product
About Avo
Avo is the leading AI platform for healthcare enterprises, helping clinicians make better decisions, move faster, and improve the quality of patient care. Serving as a central hub for care teams, Avo brings together patient data, clinical knowledge, and AI-powered workflows to support diagnosis, care planning, documentation, orders, and evidence-based decision-making at the point of care.
The Role
Avo is hiring a Senior Director of Product to lead product strategy and execution across our platform. This is a leadership role and the ideal candidate will work with our CPO to refine, and operationalize Avo's product vision, driving roadmap decisions that accelerate customer value and long-term platform differentiation.
What You'll Do
- Drive the product roadmap across Avo’s suite of products and platform infrastructure, balancing near-term customer value with long-term platform differentiation
- Translate insights from customers, clinicians, sales, and the market into a clear product direction, turning complex clinical workflows and user needs into actionable product requirements and differentiated customer value
- Translate complex clinical use cases into product requirements that engineering can act on and customers can clearly recognize
- Demonstrate deep expertise and understanding in UI/UX design by translating complex clinical workflows and product functionality into intuitive, scalable, and customer-centric experiences
- Lead the application of user-centered design best practices, driving usability, adoption, and measurable customer value through thoughtful interaction and visual design
- Partner with implementation and customer success to close the loop between what we promise, what we ship, and what actually works at the bedside
- Drive clarity on requirements and tradeoffs, unblocking engineering rather than adding process
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across distributed Product and Engineering teams, establishing effective operating rhythms and communication practices that enable rapid execution across time zones
- Maintain a strong perspective on emerging AI technologies, market trends, and competitive dynamics to help define where Avo product should lead
- Contribute to sales cycles and customer conversations as a product authority, helping close and retain enterprise accounts
- Mentor junior product team members and help build Avo's product culture as the team scales
What You Bring
- 7+ years of product management experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead PM role
- Experience in clinical decision support, or enterprise SaaS serving regulated industries, a plus
- Hands-on experience building or managing AI-powered product experiences, with an understanding of how LLM capabilities and limitations impact user-facing workflows and UX
- Track record of shipping complex, multi-stakeholder products and iterating them to scale
- Excellent written and verbal communication; you write crisp specs, give clear demos, and can hold your own in a room with health system executives
- Strong instincts for product strategy - you can identify the right problem to solve before prescribing the solution
- Prior experience at a startup or high-growth company, comfort with ambiguity and the ability to move quickly
- Comfortable working across US and Asia-Pacific time zones, including early morning or evening hours as needed
- Periodic travel to Korea 2–3 times per year, approximately one week per trip. This is not symbolic travel; dedicated in-person engagement is a core responsibility of the role.
