About the role
The Senior Director leads the CXO Core Product & Delivery (CPD) function, steering product vision and domain performance, leading day-zero cross-functional collaboration, elevating business-to-technical translation, governing modular architecture and strategy, owning capital and multi-horizon backlog management, driving matrixed leadership and workforce scalability, and championing domain and ecosystem expertise.
Responsibilities
- Own the multi-year vision, comprehensive roadmap, and P&L optimization for core digital product lines; maintain absolute accountability for overarching domain KPIs, system reliability, and long-term customer value realization.
- Champion up-front alignment and horizontal integration across Strategy, Design, and Experience Assurance (XA) leadership to proactively eliminate functional fragmentation before development begins.
- Define enterprise standards for translating broad business goals into detailed user stories. Interlock seamlessly with Experience Assurance (XA) to ingest their finalized upstream journey foundations and user-intent frameworks, converting them into functional requirements, clear application logic, and cross-channel system dependency mappings ready for GTS engineering execution.
- Ensure crystal-clear differentiation between net-new builds and legacy architecture evolution.
- Partner closely with Technology Services and technical execution teams to direct reusable solution design, establish modular product architectures, and drive high-stakes build-vs-buy engineering evaluations.
- Optimize resource capacity and manage the tactical execution backlog across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons, proactively balancing cross-POD delivery velocity within the funding targets and capital investment frameworks established by the Strategy organization.
- Direct and mentor a lean, matrixed organization of product delivery professionals; systematically identify competency gaps and design targeted upskilling tracks to optimize cross-POD resource matching.
- Cultivate an advanced culture of domain expertise, ensuring teams maintain deep literacy in the current state of their digital ecosystem, state-of-the-art platforms, and emerging customer behaviors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience; Master's Degree or a relevant graduate degree (e.g., MBA, Computer Science) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in digital product management, end-to-end software delivery, or enterprise-scale product operating models.
- Significant experience in digital product, user experience design, or consumer channels within a high-volume, subscription-based customer-facing organization is preferred.
- Demonstrated mastery of the product development lifecycle (PDLC), agile full-stack pod mechanics, and matrixed team management.
- Deep functional expertise in detailed user story creation, technical requirement writing, and cross-channel system dependency mapping.
- Strong technical literacy in cloud-native digital systems, reusable microservices, and tracking infrastructure.
- Commanding executive presence with a proven track record of using data-driven metrics to influence senior stakeholders and align distributed business units.
- Exhibits strict operational discipline, robust commercial viability assessment capabilities, and an analytical data-driven approach to product backlog refinement, feature optimization, and defect remediation.
- Demonstrated passion for fostering inclusive environments, building psychological safety, and empowering diverse, cross-functional teams to collaborate openly, challenge the status quo, and deliver collective innovation.
