About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Customer Solutions Manager (CSM) to join our Worldwide Public Sector team. This role involves working with organizations at various stages of their cloud adoption, advocating for customers, and fostering cloud adoption aligned with their mission.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and accelerate customer value realization throughout the cloud lifecycle.

  • Help customers achieve organizational cloud readiness, fluency, and skills through various initiatives.

  • Establish and mature operating models to drive scale and long-term success using AWS frameworks and mechanisms.

  • Work across AWS to solve complex technology problems for customers, balancing time between direct customer engagement and internal AWS teams.

  • Define opportunities and understand associated business and technical risks strategically aligned with the customer’s cloud journey, including large-scale migrations, data analytics, digital transformation, and innovation.

  • Influence technical stakeholders, partner with cross-functional teams, and pre/post-sales to drive detailed discussions and align on cloud adoption and migration strategies.

  • Manage and deliver business and technology projects, navigate risks or roadblocks, and execute in an ambiguous and changing environment.

  • Serve as the customer’s cloud journey coach and advocate for customer needs to AWS leadership, product, and engineering teams.

  • Share best practice learnings into reusable assets for internal re-use.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of leading large-scale, technical or engineering programs with a proven record of thought leadership, business case development, realizing customer benefits, and successful program completion experience.

  • 2+ years of customer-facing work, engaging with customer executives, technologists, or partners to solve business problems with advanced technologies.

  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, math, business, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience leading technical and non-technical transformation project teams with a proven ability to work across broad functional teams.

  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.

Qualifications

  • PMP certification, or SCRUM/Agile, SAFe certification.

  • Experience implementing cloud services including migrations and modernization projects or similar.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually.

Schedule

This position requires 25% - 40% travel dependent on geo and time of year.
