About the role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Customer Solutions Manager (CSM) to join our Worldwide Public Sector team. In this role, you will help customers realize sustained business value by accelerating their cloud transformation journey. This position requires 25% - 40% travel, dependent on geography and time of year, and the candidate must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Act as an advocate guiding customers through value realization, enablement, and governance of their cloud transformation journey.
- Value Realization: Identify and accelerate the customer’s realization of value through AWS services, partner solutions, and best practices.
- Enablement: Help customers achieve organizational cloud readiness, fluency, and skills through training, experience-based accelerators, and partnerships.
- Governance: Establish and mature operating models to drive scale and long-term success using AWS frameworks and mechanisms.
- Engage directly with customers, partners, and internal AWS teams to solve complex technology challenges, including large-scale migrations, data analytics, digital transformation, and business agility.
- Define opportunities and assess business/technical risks by working backward from the customer’s needs.
- Influence technical stakeholders and partner with cross-functional teams to align on cloud adoption and migration strategies.
- Create, manage, and deliver business and technology projects while navigating risks and executing in ambiguous environments.
- Serve as the customer’s cloud journey coach and advocate their needs within AWS, including to leadership, product, and engineering teams.
- Share best practices and reusable assets to support the evolution of AWS customer experience and the CSM discipline.
- Obtain AWS Certified Solution Architect (Associate level) within the first year of employment and the AWS AI Practitioner Exam within the first three months.

Worldwide Public Sector CSMs are advocates who help customers invent and build in the cloud. The team operates with the following principles:

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience leading large-scale, technical or engineering programs with a proven record of thought leadership, business case development, and successful program completion.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT, either as a vendor, consultant, or managing technical programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related field.
- Experience in customer-facing roles.
- Current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS or other cloud certification.
- Knowledge of the software development/engineering lifecycle or IT lifecycle.
- Experience coordinating between project teams and customers to meet unique requirements.

Pay
Base salary range:
- USA, CO, Denver: $131,300 - $177,600 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: $131,300 - $177,600 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle: $131,300 - $177,600 USD annually
Additional compensation may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
