About the role

The Senior Course Coordinator - Rhetoric supports the implementation of the OnRamps Rhetoric 306 and 309J courses. They provide 1:1 support to instructors, develop professional learning institutes, and oversee curriculum implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Provides 1:1 instructional and professional development support to OnRamps instructors.
  • Develops and implements professional learning institutes for OnRamps instructors.
  • Cultivates and leads a facilitated network of OnRamps instructors through ongoing professional development activities.
  • Maintains systems to monitor curriculum implementation and provides feedback to students based on data.
  • Communicates and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support the OnRamps mission.
  • Supports designated special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Rhetoric or English Language Arts, or closely related field.
  • Five years teaching experience at a high school or college level.
  • Proficiency in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of high school teaching and learning in Rhetoric or English Language Arts courses.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Rhetoric or English Language Arts, or closely related field preferred.
  • Two years teaching experience in Rhetoric or English Language Arts or closely related content area at a high school level preferred.
  • Experience developing and delivering professional-development initiatives for high school teachers preferred.
  • Experience developing and maintaining online professional learning communities for students and/or teachers preferred.
  • Experience developing curriculum, preferably for online delivery preferred.

    Pay

    $70,000 + depending on qualifications

    Schedule

    Weekdays, with occasional weekends and evenings for course implementation.
