The Senior Corporate Paralegal - Contracts role is seeking a highly skilled individual to support a dynamic legal team. Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare, review, negotiate, and manage a high volume of customer-facing contracts.
- Draft, review, and maintain non-disclosure agreements, letters of intent, and other preliminary business agreements.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support contract lifecycle management and ensure agreements align with business objectives.
- Cook up contract execution, tracking, organization, and documentation throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Improve contract processes by streamlining workflows, standardizing procedures, and implementing scalable solutions.
- Maintain and update contract templates, clause libraries, playbooks, and related legal resources.
- Identify contractual risks, analyze potential issues, and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Support compliance with applicable regulations, legal requirements, and internal policies.
- Affirm corporate governance activities and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Monitor changes to contract processes and policies while communicating updates effectively to relevant teams.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external legal partners on specialized contract matters.
- Conduct legal research and provide support for broader legal and operational projects as needed.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience supporting commercial contracts within a corporate legal environment.
- Strong understanding of contract law principles and commercial contracting practices.
- Proven experience reviewing, negotiating, and managing customer-facing agreements.
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate contractual risks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with contract management platforms such as Ironclad and CRM systems such as Salesforce is strongly preferred.
