About the role

The Senior CoreValve Therapy Development Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe adoption and growth of the Medtronic CoreValve System and future catheter-based therapy technologies. This role involves providing technical, clinical, educational, and sales support to implanting teams and Medtronic field organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality technical support to help sites achieve procedural success
  • Collaborate with territory sales representatives and CVG field organization to achieve sales targets and implement business plans
  • Support site performance and facilitate safe growth through education and training activities
  • Provide technical leadership for TAVR device procedures and educate implanting teams on proper indications for TAVR procedures
  • Oversee local education and training activities, including coordination of procedure simulators and staff in-services
  • Support district sales strategy, manage customer relationships, and contribute to the development of a strong team effort
  • Contribute to quality initiatives and global best practices, maintaining high standards of personal presentation and promoting a professional image

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years’ experience in a clinical or sales healthcare environment; selling or supporting interventional cardiology, vascular or surgical products OR
  • Associate’s degree and 6 years’ experience in a clinical or sales healthcare environment; selling or supporting interventional cardiology, vascular or surgical products OR
  • High School Degree and 8 years’ experience in a clinical or sales healthcare environment; selling or supporting interventional cardiology, vascular or surgical products

Nice to Have:

  • Echocardiology background
  • Associate’s Degree in engineering, nursing, or the sciences
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Science
  • Experience with wires, balloons, catheters, stents)
  • Exceptional understanding of cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology
  • Experience communicating product’s market advantages to physicians and hospital administration
  • Experience managing multiple accounts
  • Experience teaching and educating medical personnel, peers and technical support personnel
  • Imaging interpretation experience (TTE or Trans Esophageal Echocardiography (TEE), CT, Angiograms)
  • Expertise with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent influencing and consulting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills with experience coordinating programs
  • Thorough working knowledge of medical terminology, medical procedures and the medical device industry
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effectively build and maintain positive relationships with peers and colleagues across organizational levels and functions
  • Strong work ethic in accomplishing objectives of the position
