Responsibilities

  • Provide high level and confidential support to the Associate Vice President for Faculty Affairs.
  • Provide coordination and oversight of administrative support for Faculty Affairs Unit work/activities, special projects, events, and functions.
  • Prioritize and monitor Faculty Affairs timelines, progress toward strategic goals, compiles data for and creates public and administrative yearly reports, and primarily responsible for tracking compliance regarding AVP and FA unit deadlines and deliverables throughout the academic and calendar year.
  • Grant access to management's strategies and positions on collective bargaining negotiations at CSU Long Beach.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred. At least 2 years of experience working in a CSU college or department office preferred.

Pay

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources. The hiring range for this position is $4,687 - $5,000 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training. The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $4,687 - $11,223 per month.

Schedule

This is a temporary position for 1 year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date. The time base is 1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
