Senior Controller

The Role

RDI is hiring a Senior Controller to own the finance function end to end. Key responsibilities include leading the monthly close, GAAP financial statements, ASC 606 revenue recognition, the billing tracker, lender reporting, and the forward forecast model. The role also involves overseeing the outsourced accounting team that supports AP and AR.

The Work

• Owns the monthly close, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the board, lenders, and operating team.
• Responsible for revenue recognition under ASC 606, using a cost-based input method (Cumulative Actuals ÷ EAC × TCV).
• Oversight of the billing tracker to ensure accurate connection of work performed to invoices issued.
• Directs the outsourced accounting partner, managing bookkeeping, AP processing, and AR.
• Oversees monthly borrowing-base reporting and lender covenant compliance.
• Owns the quarterly forecast model shared with the board and relied upon during meetings.

Requirements

• Five to eight years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Experience with project-based services revenue recognition, particularly ETC/EAC against contract value.
• Experience directing an outsourced accounting partner or a small in-house team.
• Ready to take ownership of a full finance function rather than a slice of one.
