Senior Consultant- Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Claims and Remittance

About the role

This role is a hybrid position under Deloitte’s Project Talent Model (PTM), tailored for long-term client service delivery. As a primary member of the Epic support team, you will support, coach, and advise the client’s Project IT Team throughout the implementation cycle—Design/Workflows, System Build, Testing, Upgrades, and Activation—while minimizing extensive travel.

Responsibilities

• Specialize in Epic Resolute Hospital Billing and support core functions of the health system’s processes.
• Join a large implementation and build team, focusing on software analysis, design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
• Provide application support and issue resolution, interacting with operational and IT personnel to identify, evaluate, and configure systems.
• Maintain high credibility and ownership of system activities within the assigned application.
• Develop system design, including functional specifications and strategies, based on operational needs.
• Analyze workflow practices and apply them to system configuration in support of operational and IT strategies.
• Perform unit, system, and integration testing per standards and document outcomes.
• Ensure applications are well-supported and implementations are properly executed, following defined standards and best practices.
• Optimize, maintain, and support the application/system as required.
• Participate effectively as a team member to achieve team goals and objectives.
• Provide on-call support, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues during activation.
• Initiate escalation procedures and identify potential issues, referring complex issues to the appropriate support level.
• Build rapport and promote teamwork through professional communication and change management principles.
• Lead meetings, prioritize tasks, resolve conflicts, and manage project plans.
• Meet application deliverables, project timelines, and provide weekly status reporting.
• Perform timely project and data tracking, including weekly time tracking.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor, including emergency duties for patient welfare or efficient operations.

Requirements

• Current Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Claims and Remittance Certification.
• 4-6+ years of recent experience with an Epic implementation.
• Minimum of 3 years of Epic build and support experience.
• Experience in application build, go-live, workflows, troubleshooting, testing, and support.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in information technology, business, or a healthcare-related field; or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on project needs.
• Demonstrative understanding of technical documentation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
• Superior communication and customer service abilities.
• Team player with the willingness and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Able to operate independently or with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong desktop skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Work experience or direct knowledge of the clinical or business area to be supported.

Pay

The wage range for this role reflects factors including skill set, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range is not adjusted for geographic differential associated with the position location. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. Estimated current range: $91,000 to $143,000.
