Senior Consultant- Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Claims and Remittance

About the Role

As an experienced Epic Hospital Billing professional, you will join Deloitte’s Project Talent Model—a collaborative, long-term client service delivery environment with minimal travel demands. This hybrid role supports and advises a client’s Project IT Team throughout the implementation cycle, including design, system build, testing, upgrades, and activation. You’ll work as a primary member of the Epic support team, contributing to a large-scale implementation while advancing your career within the firm.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, configure, test, and implement Epic software, ensuring alignment with user and organizational requirements.
• Support core functions of the health system’s processes under the direction of the Applications Manager.
• Interact with operational and IT personnel to identify, evaluate, and configure systems.
• Develop system designs, functional specifications, and strategies based on operational needs.
• Analyze workflows and apply system configuration to support operational and IT strategies.
• Perform unit, system, and integration testing per standards and document outcomes.
• Ensure applications are well-supported and implementations are properly executed.
• Follow defined standards, promote best practices, and participate in the change control process.
• Optimize, maintain, and support applications as required.
• Provide on-call support, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues during activation.
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate support level.
• Build rapport, promote teamwork, and maintain open communication with end users and colleagues.
• Lead meetings, prioritize tasks, resolve conflicts, and manage project plans.
• Meet application deliverables, project timelines, and provide weekly status reporting.
• Track project data and input weekly time tracking.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including emergency tasks for patient welfare or institutional operations.

Qualifications

• Current Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Claims and Remittance Certification.
• 4-6+ years of recent experience with an Epic implementation.
• Minimum of 3 years of Epic build and support experience.
• Experience in application build, go-live, workflows, troubleshooting, testing, and support.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in information technology, business, or healthcare-related field; or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on client needs.
• Strong understanding of technical documentation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
• Superior communication and customer service abilities.
• Team player with the ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong desktop skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Work experience or direct knowledge of the clinical or business area supported.

Pay

The wage range for this role is $91,000 to $143,000, reflecting factors such as skill set, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and business needs. Compensation decisions depend on individual circumstances.

Schedule

This is a hybrid role with an average travel requirement of 10%.
