Senior Claims Manager EPL - Remote

About the role

The Senior Claims Manager - Employment Practice Liability (“EPL”) is responsible for handling Employment Practice Liability Claims. The role involves coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and disposition of claims. It requires strong communication and litigation management skills to collaborate with business partners and defense counsel.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and resolve coverage issues for Employment Practices claims.
• Investigate claims through various methods and present claims and claim trends to leadership.
• Analyze information to determine ultimate exposure to the organization and negotiate claims within provided authority.
• Evaluate and resolve claims in collaboration with defense counsel and ensure proper referrals and timely updates to Reinsurers.
• Provide reports on significant exposure cases and attend portions of trials when necessary.
• Ensure claims are processed within company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Law, HR or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in Employment law, risk management, or insurance related to employment practices.
• Superior communication and strategic negotiation skills.
• Moderate proficiency with standard business-related software.
• Sufficient keyboarding proficiency for accurate data entry.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license in good standing.
