Senior Claims Manager EPL - Remote
About the role
The Senior Claims Manager - Employment Practice Liability (“EPL”) is responsible for handling the organization’s Employment Practice Liability Claims. Key responsibilities include coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and disposition of claims. The role requires strong communication and litigation management skills to collaborate with business partners and defense counsel.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and resolve coverage issues for Employment Practices claims.
- Investigate claims through various methods and present claims and trends to leadership.
- Analyze information to determine ultimate exposure and negotiate claims within authority.
- Evaluate and resolve claims in collaboration with defense counsel and provide reports to leadership.
- Ensure claims are processed within company policies and update reinsurers as necessary.
- Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders and provide thought leadership as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Law, HR, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in Employment law, risk management, or insurance related to employment practices.
- Superior communication and strategic negotiation skills.
- Moderate proficiency with standard business-related software.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree preferred.
- J.D. degree preferred.
