Senior CEP Sales Manager
Identify, Engage, and Secure Partners
Identify, engage, and secure new corporate and nonprofit partners aligned with Discovery Education’s mission and revenue goals.
Build and Manage Pipeline
Build and manage a robust pipeline of partnership opportunities, from prospecting to contract execution.
Develop Proposals and Presentations
Develop tailored proposals and presentations that address partner needs and demonstrate impact alongside Senior Leadership.
Collaborate with Internal Teams
Work with internal teams to design partnership programs that integrate content, technology, and social impact objectives.
Monitor Trends and Inform Strategies
Monitor trends in education, CSR, and technology to inform partnership strategies and territory management.
Deliver Revenue Targets
Deliver on individual revenue targets and contribute to overall business unit growth.
Cultivate Relationships
Cultivate relationships with prospects to advance long-term partnerships.
Represent at Events
Represent Discovery Education at partner meetings and industry events (30–40% travel).
Core Competencies
- Ability to identify opportunities and move them through the sales cycle
- Thrives in a dynamic environment and adjusts strategies based on market insights
- Takes initiative and manages tasks independently without heavy oversight
- Runs alongside Senior Leadership for entire sales cycle from prospecting, ideation and contracting
- Sales, partnership development, or nonprofit fund development experience in education, technology, or social impact sectors
- Consultative selling and building relationships
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable creating presentations and proposals
- Experience with CRM platform management (Salesforce), proficiency in presentation design (Keynote or PowerPoint), Microsoft Excel, social media, etc.
- Ability to travel to partner meetings and industry events 30-40% of the time
Credentials and Experience
- Minimum 5-8 years of partnership development and/or direct sales responsibility
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or nonprofit fund development, ideally in education, technology, or social impact sectors
- Skilled in consultative selling and building relationships
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable creating presentations and proposals
- Experience with CRM platform management (Salesforce), proficiency in presentation design (Keynote or PowerPoint), Microsoft Excel, social media, etc.
- Ability to travel to partner meetings and industry events 30-40% of the time
Hiring Range
The hiring range for this position is between $96,650 - $107,400 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
