Essential Job Functions
- Learns and integrates a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, using an anti-oppressive lens, into work with clients.
- Conducts client-centered safety assessments and risk management planning.
- Provides crisis intervention and direct assistance to victims of crime and abuse; develops creative solutions reflecting clients' unique needs in collaboration with clients.
- Advocates for clients for public entitlements with systems and other agencies, such as obtaining orders of protection, helping with hospital/medical needs, and facilitating Office of Victims Services compensation and relocation assistance.
- Provides information and referrals and facilitates linkages for clients for services like shelters, mental health treatment, public assistance, and other entitlements based on assessment and clients' needs.
- Maintains emergency practical assistance for clients including transportation, food vouchers, financial assistance, and lock replacement in accordance with agency policy.
- Engages in regular supervision meetings with supervisors to review cases, reflect on client interactions, and build skills.
- Maintains thorough and accurate case records and statistics in a web-based case management system.
- Collects client data, tests new interventions, and tracks outcomes.
- Participates in staff meetings, individual and group supervision, community meetings, and relevant trainings and seminars.
- Conducts educational presentations and trainings and participates in outreach events for community groups about intimate partner and family violence, victim assistance resources, and other related topics.
- Works collaboratively with other Safe Horizon programs to facilitate linkages for clients.

Education
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field (Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, etc.) or equivalent experience is preferred.
Experience
- At least one year of prior direct service experience in a social service setting is required.
- Experience working with survivors of intimate partner and family violence and other victims of crime preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish, French, Chinese, Arabic, Korean) preferred.
Hiring Range
$23.62 - 26.58 Hourly
