About the role

The Senior Building Controls Technician position at Building People LLC is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting building control systems. This includes monitoring HVAC, lighting, and security systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot building control systems including HVAC, lighting, and security systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on building control systems to prevent failures and ensure system reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues related to building controls.
• Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.
• Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of system status and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building controls or related field.
• Proficiency in using building automation systems (BAS) software and hardware.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with building automation systems (BAS).
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Skills
